It has been an honor to serve as your representative in the State House for the past six years. I sincerely appreciate your trust in me. I have tried to be responsive to all the residents of district 22, while being faithful to my values, and the principles most important to the majority of our citizens.
Pro-life, government reform, and election laws are the issues I have been focused on the most. In February the House passed the fetal pain bill I introduced to protect unborn babies who can feel pain from an abortion. During the last session we were able to enact legislation to require voters to present a valid ID in order to participate in the election process. We recently created the Department of Administration which will bring accountability to many state agencies for the first time. I have several pieces of pending legislation that will encourage state and county agencies to leverage technology so they can provide better, more efficient services to the taxpayers.
In recent months, the Palmetto Family Council, The SC Chamber of Commerce and the Coalition for Access to Health Care have all recognized my efforts on your behalf. Although the awards are nice, what I enjoy most is hearing from you.
I would certainly appreciate your support for another two years and look forward to working with you to make it another “Great Day in SC”. .
